Covers: any hoverboard bought from Hoverboards NZ, in the same order or within 30 days of purchase

Every hoverboard we sell comes with a 12 month warranty. The Care Plan extends that to 3 years from the date of purchase, so if the battery stops holding charge in year two, or a motor or sensor fails in year three, our Auckland workshop repairs or replaces it and you are not paying for parts or labour.

Cover runs for 36 months from the day your hoverboard is delivered. Two extra years on top of the standard warranty.

Battery and charger included

The parts most likely to wear are covered: battery, charger, motors, motherboard, gyro sensors and LED lights.

Repaired in Auckland

Send the board to our workshop or drop it in. We repair or replace at our cost and courier it back to you.

One charge for the courier

During years two and three you cover the courier to us. We cover the repair, the parts and the courier back.

What is covered

  • Battery that no longer holds a usable charge

What is not covered

  • Accidental damage, drops, crashes, water damage or damage from riding through puddles
  • Cosmetic wear: scratches, scuffs, cracked shells
  • Tyres, footpads and other wear items
  • Damage caused by a non-approved charger, or by repairs or modifications not done by us
  • Loss or theft

How it works

  1. Add the Care Plan to your cart with your hoverboard, or buy it on its own within 30 days of your hoverboard order.
  2. We link it to your order number. Nothing to register, nothing to print.
  3. If something goes wrong, email or call us with your order number. We will run through a quick check first, since many issues are fixed with a recalibration.
  4. If it needs the workshop, send it in. We repair or replace and courier it back.

The Care Plan is for one hoverboard and is not transferable. It runs alongside your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act and does not limit them. Full terms are in our Return and Refund Policy.

      COMPATIBILITY

    Our accessories are made for the hoverboards we sell. Most fit all three standard sizes (6.5, 8 and 10 inch) and the 8.5 inch off-road board, but some are size specific. The exact fit is listed at the top of the product description above.

    Not sure which size hoverboard you have? Measure the wheel diameter, or check the model code on the underside of the board. Our Auckland team can confirm fit before you order, just ask.

      DELIVERY & WARRANTY

    Fast NZ-wide delivery. All stock ships from our Auckland warehouse with next day dispatch on business days. Most customers receive their hoverboard within 3 to 5 business days. Rural addresses can take a day or two longer. Delivery cost is calculated at checkout.

    Every order is sent signature required and covered by transit insurance. Tracking is emailed as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.

    12 months warranty. All our hoverboards come with a 12 month NZ warranty against manufacturing faults. If anything goes wrong, our Auckland team handles repairs and replacements locally, so you are not shipping anything overseas or waiting on an offshore seller.     FAQs - Accessories

    Will this fit my hoverboard?

    All of our accessories fit the 6.5, 8 and 10 inch boards, and the carry bag and safety gear fit any hoverboard. Chargers and batteries must match your board's voltage, which for all our boards is 36V. If you bought your hoverboard elsewhere, send us a photo of the label on the underside and we'll confirm.

    Can I use a charger or battery from another brand?

    We don't recommend it. A charger with the wrong voltage or connector can damage the battery or the board, and it will void the warranty. Our chargers and replacement batteries are the same units that ship with our hoverboards.

    Do you ship accessories on their own?

    Yes. Accessories are dispatched next business day from Auckland like everything else, with tracking. If you order an accessory together with a hoverboard, they ship in the same parcel.

    What happens if something goes wrong?

    Every hoverboard comes with a 12 month NZ warranty and is supported by our team in Auckland. Most issues are sorted with a quick calibration, which our Troubleshooting page walks you through. If it needs more than that, we repair or replace it locally, no shipping overseas.

    Do you ship across New Zealand?

    Yes. Orders are dispatched next business day from our Auckland warehouse and delivered nationwide, usually within 3 to 5 business days. Every parcel is tracked, sent signature required and insured in transit.
